How To Store Stuff In Your GlobalDrive Account
You can store your data on GlobalDrive's mirrored RAID arrays in one of two ways:
The GlobalDrive "Virtual Disk Drive"
GlobalDrive supplies a free, downloadable, installable program called "The GlobalDrive Virtual Disk Drive". You can find more information about our Virtual Disk Drive here and you can download it here.
The GlobalDrive Virtual Disk Drive installs (and uninstalls) just like any other program on your Windows desktop. Once the Virtual Disk Drive is installed, all files in your GlobalDrive account can be accessed as if they were stored on a hard disk drive!
The GlobalDrive Virtual Disk Drive is a real time-saver. If you are working in Word, for example, simply tell Word to store it's document files on GlobalDrive, and you can go to that meeting without worrying about bringing your critical files. Or simply tell Word to store it's backup copy of your document on GlobalDrive, and you have "goof-proof" backup.
All files you manage using your Virtual Disk Drive can be accessed by the GlobalDrive web site (below), from anywhere in the world.
You can even go to an internet café, log into your GlobalDrive account, download the Virtual Disk Drive and access your data on the internet café's computer as if your files were stored there.

The GlobalDrive Web Site
Once you log into your GlobalDrive account, you will be presented with a web page with a browseable listing of all of your files and folders (it looks and feels very similar to Windows Explorer). If you click on a file, you will download it from GlobalDrive to your computer. If you click on Upload, you will upload a file from your computer to GlobalDrive. The web page contains additional icons for Renaming, Deleting, and Moving your files.
The web site and the Virtual Disk Drive are 100% compatible - any data you store or access using the web site can be retrieved by the Virtual Disk Drive, and vice-versa.
