Is my data safe?
ABSOLUTELY. GlobalDrive stores your data on all fibre-optic file servers, each of which is designed with "no single point of failure". The disk arrays use a highly-reliable type of technology known as "RAID" and have "hot swap" capabilities. Each file server is cloned ("mirrored") so that in the event one file server goes down, your data remains accessible.
GlobalDrive's facilities are located in an "earthquake-proof" (seismically-upgraded) building that is built like a fortress, with several zones of access controls, climate control, fire and intrusion detection, uninterruptable power supplies, and round-the-clock protection by GlobalDrive personnel and building security guards.

How much data can I store in my GlobalDrive account?
That depends on the pricing plans shown above. The minimum plan provides you with one gigabyte (1,000Mb) of space. With our highly flexible and "infinitely-scalable" file servers, there is literally no limit on the amount of data you can store in your GlobalDrive account - the only limit is your budget.

Why should I use a service like GlobalDrive?
There are many reasons why.
Flexibility - GlobalDrive gives you the ability to store data in a place where you can access it from anywhere in the world . If you're on vacation, and want to view your data, you simply log into your GlobalDrive account from any "internet café" and there it is . If you want to work on your data from your home, simply log into your GlobalDrive account from your home and there it is . With GlobalDrive, carrying around diskettes or CD's is a thing of the past. You can even leave your laptop at home!
Sharing - GlobalDrive gives you the ability to collaborate with colleagues and friends, sharing your files with them. Our "Virtual Directory" gives you the ability to keep private data in your directory, while giving your colleagues and friends read/write access to only those files which you wish to share with them. You can even share files via email with people that do not have a GlobalDrive account!
Capacity - if you're running out of room, or want to keep certain data in a separate space, GlobalDrive gives you that ability with a single mouse click.
Security - GlobalDrive gives you the ability to store your data, 448-bit encrypted, in a safe place where no one but you or your designees can touch it. Your personal information is protected by both American and international law, and your data is protected by American Federal and California State law. Your privacy, and the security of your data, is our most important concern.

What is a subaccount and how do they work?
Subaccounts are "seats", or logins, that can be used to login to your account.
Using subaccounts, you give others the ability to login to your account and read, write, or change data in your account (at your discretion) without giving them "full access" to your account. You can "lock" the subaccount user into their own folder, to which you have full access, but they cannot "move up" the folder/directory structure to access your private data. You can create Virtual Directories that are accessible to subaccount users without giving the subaccount users access to your root directory.
Subaccounts can be created, changed, or deleted by the subscriber or any subaccount user to whom you have given Administrative authority. Subaccounts are a great way to grant revocable access to your data and collaborate with co-workers.
Click here for more information on how to grant access privileges to subaccounts.
