Disclaimers and Caveats
At GlobalDrive, we're constantly comparing ourselves to our competitors, to ensure we provide the highest level of service possible. We thought we'd share these results with you, so that you can make a more informed decision as to which online file storage site is best for you.
Before you subscribe to an online file hosting service, like GlobalDrive, we think you should compare features, benefits, and prices before beginning the rather arduous task of uploading all of your data. After all, if you just choose a service based on price, after uploading all of your data you may find that their features aren't sufficient to meet your needs. If that happens, then you'll have to download or delete your internet-stored data before using a different service.
That's a lot of work!
Or consider the liability you may have with storing your sensitive data on non-encrypted servers... Online storage services that don't encrypt your data on the servers, and won't furnish you with a statement in writing that your data is, in fact, encrypted, will certainly not be HIPAA-certifiable.
All sites listed here were compared beginning on 2007/01/04, using their most current site/software and real accounts (i.e., no "simulation").

Footnotes
"Comes with free 'looks like and works like a local drive' desktop software: iBackup"
After you right-click a folder with iBackup's desktop (version 9.5.2), your context menu options change for Windows Explorer and some functions remain unavailable until you reboot Windows or logout/login from Windows. Thus, it does not "look like and work like" a local drive.
